10 Practical Benefits of a Home Elevator

Whether because of existing or expected physical limitations or because of the desire to have a touch of luxury in their home, people are increasingly recognizing that home elevators are both practical and classy. Also, the home elevator provides a valuable function that can be used by anybody in the home, at any time, as frequently as necessary, and for many years. Home Elevators have many benefits that will appeal to homeowners.
Home elevators:
- Enable anyone and everyone (family member, relative, friend, visitor, or even the family pet) to access all levels of the home easily, comfortably, and safely; especially if they struggle with getting up and down stairs.
- Eliminate the need to move if lifestyles or physical needs change because of aging, illness, or injury.
- Allow anyone to move groceries, laundry, luggage, children, guests, furniture, pets, and other items from floor to floor with ease.
- Enable homeowners to have more design options for their home by not having to place the master bedroom on the ground floor. They will have more potential to include an additional room or to expand an existing room such as a kitchen, pantry, family room, exercise room, craft room, education room, recreation room, etc.
- Decrease the costs of building a home because it is generally less expensive to build “up” than to build “out”.
- Give homeowners the freedom to be as discrete or as glamorous as their home décor and lifestyle require.
- Provide more efficient use of space and increased options for floor plans. For example, because some home elevators use only one-fourth the space of a stair case, they can install a home elevator in place of a second set of stairs.
- Increase the value of a home (and giving value to successive owners).
- Increase the marketability of a property at resale by creating a broad appeal to potential buyers.
- Be easily installed both in a new home being built and in most existing homes.
